    現年30歲的李勝木，2012年與方介民聯手征戰倫敦，雖然最終止步8強，但仍創下台灣男雙在奧運史上最佳紀錄。倫奧結束後方介民選擇退休，「黃金男雙」正式解體，不過，李勝木改與學長蔡佳欣合作，第一次在國際賽就闖進香港超級賽最後四強，並在該年12月澳門公開賽決賽2比1逆轉擊敗當時頭號種子，也就是里約奧運首輪對手，目前世界排名13的俄羅斯好手伊萬諾夫╱索佐諾夫。
